A horse and carriage ride, a wedding ceremony in the rose garden of the Pillar and Post, the most beautiful (and sparkly) dessert table you have ever seen, not to mention their gorgeous reception venue at Queen’s Landing… these are just a few of the ‘holy moly’ elements that made up Sarah and Justin’s Niagara wedding of perfection.
Sarah got ready in the suite of Queen’s Landing with all the essentials: family, bridesmaids, the adorable flower girl and that much needed BUBBLY stuff. When the ladies were ready to pop their champagne it was agreed all around that it had to be done right, i.e. putting a little boogey into the bottle for that foamy, messy, but oh so much fun, spray. Given the very narrow distance between where the girls were and where I had to stand to get the shot you see in this post, I was in the direct line of spray. Solution? Plush hotel bath robes for the videographer and I. Definitely the funniest thing I have ever worn when taking a photo professionally.
For the wedding photographs at McFarland Park and Fort George, Sarah and Justin opted for the San Francisco style trolley to get them and their wedding party around. Loved it! Fort George was closed when we arrived so we had free reign to run all over the grounds for some wedding party and bride and groom photos. Fort George is one of those places you could be there for half a day and still find beautiful spots to use. Totally recommend it.
At the reception back at Queen’s Landing, the speeches got huge laughs (loudest from one groomsman and the décor got a lot of swooning; Woodland theme done at its most elegant. What really got us is when the couple honoured the 57th wedding anniversary of two of their guests with their own dance (See last photo). Truly a wedding of beautifully honest emotion.
Congratulations Sarah and Justin!
