Adam and I knew that Laura and Greg were a definite fit for Wolf Photography before we even met them. When choosing a spot to sit down and have our first chat, Laura suggested a café that “had the best coffee in all of Toronto…” SOLD! There are only a few things that Adam and I are “snobby” about and coffee is one of them. Over a cup of deliciousness we got to know this amazing couple and their upcoming 1920’s Parisian vintage wedding.
Greg and Laura met on the varsity cross country team at the University of Waterloo. Laura was in her last year of undergraduate studies in Biology and the captain of the team. Several of her friends had told her that a triathlete who was working towards his PhD in Chemistry was trying out that year and that she would definitely think he was cute. Laura was intrigued, and her friends were right. Greg and Laura hit it off straight away, became good friends and, by late fall, started dating. Their love of running and triathlons is something unique that binds them and also allows them to train and compete together; a luxury that they both feel lucky to have. This love of sport bled into their wedding day through the use of the vintage bicycle motif and, what would become the tagline for their big day, “Enjoy the ride.”
Despite falling on the only rainy day of an otherwise hot and dry summer, Laura and Greg’s wedding day was truly all that they could have asked for. Most things went perfectly, some didn’t, but they really didn’t notice either way. All they really wanted was to have a meaningful ceremony and to celebrate with family and friends and that is exactly what they got. Laura’s favorite part of the day was, without a doubt, their vows with the speeches coming in at a close second. There was so much emotion in the reception room throughout the evening and it is something she will never forget. For Greg, their first dance was a big highlight and, of course, the open bar.
“Greg and I cannot thank our amazing wedding photographers enough; both for truly capturing the essence of our wedding but also for being wonderful people to hang out with throughout the day.”
